Design:

Those wall hangings are assembled from separate square pieces of large embroidered diamond shape forms separated by smaller bands with small embroidered diamonds.

On the finished hanging small diamonds with bead decorated Tassels are attached.

Includes wooden hanging peg.

 

Pattern:

The diamond shape motif  appears on the hanging in a variety of forms. The embroidered  diamond symbolizes an "eye" in the context of preventing "bad luck" or "evil eye". Zahara is the name of the first women who has invented this motif.
