The Future Lies in Education: Strengthening Education
Building a generation of educated citizens with the capabilities of leading the Bedouin community is a central goal of the Association for the Improvement of Women’s Status in Lakia. To promote this goal, we offer enrichment classes in English and mathematics for children and youth from Lakia and nearby towns. The courses are taught by professional teachers after school. We offer booster courses before the matriculation exams, English for younger children and spoken Hebrew for women.
Our Objectives:
For Youth: to strengthen and deepen the educational attainments required to enable them to continue their studies after high school
Children: to introduce them to English at a young age
Women: to broaden their knowledge of spoken Hebrew to ease their integration into Israeli society
According to data we have gathered, for the past five years, all the high school students who participated in our classes successfully passed their exams and continued on to higher education after completing high school. We are proud of our hard-working students and wish them every success in the future!
